Weight: Cheese pipe weight should fall within the range of 200-300 gms per pc. (apprx)

Inner Dia: It must be ensured that inner dia is smoothly finished in order to get accurate measurement and roundness. Incorrect size and welding projection can result into slippage or seizure on the winding spindle and can even cause damage to the holder components.

Thickness: Width of the cheese pipe should be such that to provide optimum strength. Generally, thickness between 1 mm and 1.5 mm is sufficient.

Strength: The cheese pipe prone to high loop stress during winding and storage. It is critical to know repercussions of stress which causes winding tension and the shrinkage tension .These tensions can be controlled by stabilizing adjustment of the tape plant.
